Ever since Rihanna successfully launched Fenty Beauty which helped her become the richest female musician in the world and ever since Kylie Jenner’s incredible success with Kylie Cosmetics and becoming the youngest self-made billionaire, more and more celebrities have been launching their own makeup lines.

In this video, we’ll be taking a look at more celebrities that have launched their own makeup lines or are planning to in the considerable future.

1. Haus Laboratories – Lady Gaga

American singer, songwriter, and recently turned actress Lady Gaga finally confirmed a longtime project from 2019 that she was planning on launching her very own makeup line called Haus Laboratories. This makeup line, abbreviated as Haus Labs, is a vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics brand launched back on September 17, 2019, by popstar.

It was already launched in 2012 as a perfume brand, but it was relaunched as a complete cosmetics brand a few years later. It was the first major beauty line to launch exclusively on Amazon and is currently released in nice countries, including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan.

2. Upcoming Skincare Brand – Scarlett Johansson

Relishing the recent success of her first solo film as Natasha Romanoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Black Widow, the actress announced back in June that she would be launching a skincare brand with Kate Foster. Foster previously worked in the beauty division of Victoria’s Secret and Juicy Couture.

According to the press release she did to announce the skincare/makeup venture, Scar Jo has always been fascinated by the transformative power of Beauty since she was a child. Although there isn’t clear news about whether or not they will be focusing on makeup or skincare, the actress says that they plan to launch as early as the first quarter of 2022.

3. The Honest Company – Jessica Alba

After semi-retirement from the limelight, Hollywood actress Jessica Alba transitioned to philanthropy and entrepreneurship. She founded The Honest Company in 2011 as a way for new parents to get easier access to baby products that were completely non-toxic. Her brand initially covered baby-centered products like baby wipes and diapers but has eventually expanded to include makeup and other beauty products.

The Honest Company is currently a multimillion-dollar makeup and beauty line and is even coveted by people like Meghan Markle’s makeup artist, who swears that their “Magic Balm” is a life-changing product.

4. Flower Beauty – Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore is known for her roles as Dylan in Charlie’s Angels and Lucy, the girl who suffers short-term memory loss in 50 First Dates. It wouldn’t be unexpected for someone like her to launch her own makeup line, but she’s been working on one since 2013. Her inspiration was that she had been working with makeup since she was six years old, and she had come to grow and love its Beauty ever since.

Although Flower Beauty isn’t as big of a brand compared to others on this list, it can still hold its ground as it was originally just exclusive for Walmart but eventually grew as a brand when they decided to transition to a cruelty-free line that includes tools and products like brushes, blenders, bags, palettes, mascara, and eyeshadows.

5. Rare Beauty – Selena Gomez

Rare Beauty is an up-and-coming makeup line from the American singer and actress. The actress’ advocacies for mental health and standing against the unrealistic standards of perfection are very evident in her makeup line. In Rare Beauty’s website, Selena Gomez focuses on the impact of mental health and its correlation to beauty standards.

This is very in line with one of her most famous songs, “Who Says” which catapulted the celebrity to success. Rare also happens to be the name of her third solo studio album released back in January 2020, and it certainly isn’t a coincidence. Of course, Rare Beauty is also cruelty-free.
