New York is arguably the best place in the United States if you’re looking for amazing food. Every month, especially in recent months, dozens of new restaurants open in the big apple. Many of the greatest chefs, restaurants, and ingredient providers are often based in New York because of this.

With Manhattan restaurants operating in both outdoor and indoor dining, there are a lot of options at the moment. In this video, we’ll be exploring 7 of the best new restaurants in Manhattan.

1. Native Noodles

The first store on this list is located in Washington Heights. Native Noodles is a Singaporean restaurant in Manhattan that chef and owner Amy Pryke manages. Pryke used to work at a popular food stall at Queens Night Market with the same name. Now, Native Noodles has an actual brick-and-mortar location in Manhattan. Native Noodles serves a lot of Singaporean and Southeast Asian-inspired meals like their Laksa, a spicy noodle soup, one of their best-selling foods.

2. Chick Chick

From the store’s name, it’s already obvious what kind of food they serve. Chick Chick is a restaurant owned and managed by Jun Park, who serves Korean fried chicken with inspiration drawn from Nashville-style hot chicken.

Located in the Upper West Side, Chick Chick boasts fried chicken in different flavors like Korean Sweet Gochujang, Soy Garlic, Sweet Blackk Pepper Soy, and Hot Honey. They also serve several chicken sandwiches and their best-selling Tori Paitan and Uni Mushroom Ramens.

3. Les Trois Chevaux

Les Trois Chevaux is a white tablecloth restaurant from the chef behind West Village’s Beatrice inn, Angie Mar. Chef Angie Mar, who is renowned for her vision and downtown interpretation of fine dining, has elevated fine dining, especially in her second restaurant.

Her love of French cuisine and her exploration of meat and game has led to her bringing a lot of experiences gained from Europe to the tables of Les Trois Chevaux

4. Joomak Banjum

Another Korean restaurant, Joomak Banjum is a Korean-Chinese fusion restaurant that boasts elements of fine dining from being managed by a group of six fine-dining veterans from the Michelin starred The Modern. Additionally, Joomak Banjum is supplemented by neighborhood restaurateur Sarah Kang.

The Korean-Chinese fusion offers two tasting menus. Their $85 menu consists of four courses, including the Truffle Kung Pao Chicken and Blueberry-cured Sea Bass.Their six-course $125 menu includes other exciting dishes like their juicy Peking duck centerpiece.

5. Electric Burrito

Like its name, Electric Burrito is definitely electric. They come from the team behind East Village’s Mister Paradise. Contrary to Mister Paradise, a cocktail bar, Electric Burrito is a tiny counter-service spot that focuses on burritos filled with french fries.

Their Electric burritos are inspired by the original San Diego California burrito made with french fries, carne asada, and Pico De Gallo, a salsa traditionally made with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lime, and sometimes jalapeno.

6. Dhamaka

Dhamaka is the newest restaurant from Chintan Pandya and Roni Mazumdar. Dhamaka focuses on the reimagining of regional, every Indian food. Despite Indian cuisine already being embraced by people in the U.S., dishes like doh khleh, pork salad with lemon, cilantro, onion, and ginger, are rarely ever explored. The two chefs aim to bring this type of food to the locals of NYC and the numerous tourists to bring more of India than the usual curry, kebab, and biryani.

Of course, Dhamaka isn’t just a restaurant that brings new food to the table. They make sure to bring the best out of the flavors from these regional Indian dishes.

7. Iris

Last but definitely not the least on this list is Chef John Fraser’s Iris. Iris has long been in the works as a Mediterranean venture in Midtown and is headed alongside executive chef Rob Lawson, who worked at Fraser’s Times Square spot at 701 West.

This restaurant focuses on Greek and Turkish food like swordfish tartare with toasted pistachios, Fresno chilis, and grilled sweetbread kokoretsi. Definitely worth the visit!

Overall, there are definitely a lot of exciting restaurants in the Empire State, and we couldn’t possibly list all of them. If you have any other restaurants to suggest, feel free to leave a comment down below.
