Who doesn’t love soft golden layers of carbs topped with butter, syrup, honey, and other unique ingredients? Pancakes are the staples of American breakfast, but they’re much more than that. In the city that never sleeps, heart-filling and addictive pancakes can be enjoyed at any time.

In this video, we’ll list down 5 Amazing Pancakes in New York City, like Friedman’s at The Edison and Dante’s Almond Milk Pancake.

1. Dante’s Almond Milk Pancake

The first fluffy carb-bonanza on this list comes from Dante, a restaurant with a sophisticated European ambiance that has been open since 1915.

This place located in West Village serves a fantastic almond milk pancake topped with seasonal berries, amazing cinnamon maple syrup, and of course, a generous serving of butter. To top things off, it’s served in its own cast-iron skillet. Talk about plating! Check out Dante’s here.

2. Sunday in Brooklyn

This famous malted twist is another excellent choice for pancakes. Sunday in Brooklyn is located at 348 Wythe Avenue, and they serve malted pancakes with hazelnut maple praline and brown butter, which provides a unique look to the dish.

The famous malted pancakes from hipster central are rich, unexpectedly delicious, and definitely one of the fluffiest in the Big Apple.

3. Good Enough To Eat

More than what the name says, Good Enough To Eat’s pancake is more than good enough to eat! Their four-grain oatmeal pancake mixture tastes precisely like the pancake your grandmother would make you for breakfast whenever you visited her.

Additionally, Good Enough To Eat’s pancakes include apple, banana walnut, Belgium chocolate, the classic, and surprisingly enough, a coconut version.

To add to the plethora of popping flavors whenever you help yourself with a handful of their pancakes, Good Enough To Eat has a fantastic strawberry butter that just takes everything over the top.

4. Clinton Street Baking Company

Nothing beats the traditional blueberry pancakes. Except, of course, Clinton Street Baking Company’s famous award-winning blueberry pancakes.

Whenever you drop by their store, you’re bound to be greeted with long lines of people. Most of them are probably there to get a taste of their addictive blueberry pancakes. However, don’t let the long line discourage you, as most of the people lining up will tell you that it’s worth the wait.

Clinton Street Baking Company’s blueberry pancakes are made with a lot of butter and a lot more love. Other flavors like banana-walnut and chocolate chunk are also available. To add to this, since February this year, they’ve begun offering different flavors every day.

Before we get to the last on this list, we have some honorable mentions that you might also want to consider these 3:

  • The Gluten-Free Pancake in Times Square by Friedman’s at The Edison serves their pancake in a selection of blueberry, lemon ricotta, and buckwheat banana walnut.
  • Sugar Factory’s two locations in Manhattan offer a wide selection of pancakes like Red Velvet Pancakes topped with white chocolate chunks and Orange Zest topped with whipped cream and warm maple syrup, buttermilk with candied pecans, and many more.
  • West Village’s Olio e Piu serves pancakes among flowers and trees. Much like their restaurant’s designs, their pancakes are also flavorful and rich but not too sweet.

5. Shopsin’s Unique Pancakes

Last but not least, If unique is what you want, Shopsin’s Mac & Cheese pancake is for sure what you’d like to get your hands on. Who said that pancakes are supposed to be just fluffy sweet flat pieces of carbs.

Shopsin’s takes their pancakes and adds unique flavors and variations to them like peach melba, lemon ricotta blueberry, their famous “slutty cakes,” traditional fluffy pancakes stuffed with peanut butter, and of course the crispy yet still fluffy Mac & Cheese Pancake.

If you’re tired of the traditional pancakes and you’re looking for something unique, we recommend you head to Shopsin’s located in the Essex Market in Lower East Side.
