Most people don’t eat vegetables. They often think of vegetables and various herbs to be a part of a hearty meal.

However, we’ll take this as a challenge. We are here to try out an array of vegetarian food that might even give meat-based food a run for their money.

To start, let’s learn about the cultures and experiences of people in various places of the world. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of different cultures that have integrated a vegetable-based cuisine.

If you think that that is not as delicious as a good steak, you might be surprised by just how unique vegetables can be cooked right.

Stir-fried Vegetables

In most Asian dishes, Bok Choy is found to be a mainstay no matter what part of Asia you are in.

But what exactly is Bok Choy? Is it a cabbage? That might seem like it at first glance.

However, it is a much softer and flavorful type of vegetable. In Vietnam, people have come to enjoy vegetarian food after getting used to their religious beliefs.

Fried Bread And Various Salads

In most Asian countries, you might find local vegetarian buffets. Among the food they serve, the most common ones you will find are an array of salads and fried bread.

What makes this such a good combo is that you can make up your food combinations that go amazingly with the fried bread.

Vegetarian Stir-fried Noodles

You will learn that almost every dish is either a noodle dish or a stir-fried dish in Asia. However, it’s both in this case.

There is nothing better than eating fresh, handmade noodles along with the freshest vegetables you’ll ever find.

And instead of having meat for protein, you have Tofu rather, which might be a surprise for others considering how much it can be so similar to meat.

The Amazing And Pillow-like Indira

In Ethiopian cuisine, they have this sort of bread-like food item that is considered part of their daily meals. It is made out of Teff flour that is fermented, giving it a very elastic yet soft texture.

When eating Indira, you are given a wide array of dipping sauces to choose from. The flavor is somewhat sour thanks to the fermentation, making it perfect for Chirawat. It’s a chickpea-based sauce as well as Kikwat and Musuruwa, which are both lentil-based sauces.

A Variety Of Indian Food

India probably has the highest percentage of its population being vegetarian. The people in India also consider that being a vegetarian is the norm, so most southern India is known for its excellent vegetarian dishes.

Thanks to Hinduism, they have very much enforced a non-violence way of life, including animals.

Aside from their love for vegetarian food, they also have a habit of using many dairy products since almost every household in India owns a cow. Not only are their traditional dairy products delicious, but they are also considered to be non-violent since you don’t need to put down a cow to get their milk.

Conclusion

People should be a lot more open-minded when it comes to food, especially vegetable cuisine and dishes.

So what’s holding you back? Look for a local vegetarian place now and make sure you get the most out of your vegetarian experience.
