With Alaska being one of the most beautiful states in America, it has been one of the most looked forward places for vacation by many people. Alaska is worth visiting by presenting rugged outdoors, seaside towns, beautiful skies, and fascinating wildlife.

In this video, we’ll be looking at five destinations you should consider when visiting Alaska.

1. Anchorage

First on this list is the largest city by population in Alaska. It would be hard not the drop by Anchorage as it serves as the main transportation hub of the state.

Anchorage is where travelers go to ride planes or cruise ships to head to other places within the state. As a result, it’s also one of the busiest places in Alaska. There are plenty of restaurants, trails, and other places to explore.

2. Seward

Home to the Alaska SeaLife Center, a rescue and rehabilitation facility for marine mammals, Seward is definitely a place you should visit. In this facility, you’ll share an encounter with rehabilitated marine mammals and other animals you’ll rarely get the chance to meet in the wild.

A stroll by Waterfront Park and downtown, filled with colorful murals all around their buildings, is also fun.

3. Juneau

The capital of Alaska is a must-visit. Sceneries and wildlife are blooming in Juneau. Spot humpback whales in Mendenhall Lake, kayak along Tracy Arm Fjord’s rock walls, or even try out a helicopter tour that graces the vast icefield in Juneau.

Visiting the Alaska State Museum is also something you should consider if you’re interested in the deep and rich native culture of Alaska.

4. Ketchikan

Ketchikan is located at the southernmost entrance to the Inside Passage network. It’s home to many native American totem poles and is known for having the most totems in the world. Wildlife is also flourishing in the area as you can easily meet black bears, wolves, and bald eagles in the area.

5. Denali National Park and Reserve

Last but not least is one of the best reserves on the continent. The Denali National Park is located in the heart of the Alaskan Range. Its center of attraction is Mount McKinley, known to locals as Denali, which flaunts the highest peak in North America.

For wildlife, moose, caribou, grizzly bears, Dall sheep, and wolves are five of the most common in the area.
