If you’re a food lover, you must pay a visit to the five states we’ll list in this post.

5 States in America Food Lovers Have to Visit

When it comes to food, everyone has their favorite dishes, and go to spots. In this post we will cover some of the more popular destinations and highly rated places to venture out to for great food!

California is arguably the best state to visit regarding food trips and everything else in between. From Los Angeles and its unique pool of cuisine from cultures worldwide to San Francisco’s innovative touch on anything that extends to their food and even Napa Valley’s amazing wine country, The Golden State has plenty to offer.

Texas and steak are two words often found together, and there’s a reason for it. Your food trip won’t be complete without experiencing steaks, barbecue, and truly authentic Tex-Mex, and there’s no place better than Texas to get a taste. And many say that Austin is turNing into the new food lovers destination of choice in the U.S.

Louisiana is a must-visit. For a state heavily influenced by European cuisine, they ended up developing their own heavy brand of cuisine without straying too far from the influence.

To be specific, New Orleans has to be one of the best cities in the world regarding food. Cajun and Creole dishes like gumbo, jambalaya, and their iconic Cajun seafood boils are definitely amazing.

There’s no doubt that the Philly cheesesteak and its thinly sliced beef and melted cheese is one of the best sandwiches in the world, but Pennsylvania has more to offer than just that.

Albeit overshadowed, Pennsylvania actually has several underrated dishes. One that comes to mind is the Scrapple, a slice of meat made with meat scraps and stewed cornmeal, similar to spam or luncheon meat. What is your opinion of things to eat in Pennsylvania?

New York

Home to a plethora of cultures from all over the world, New York definitely has the most when it comes to culinary excellence and innovation.

It’s the most populated city in the U.S. and, as a result, also has a lot of food to choose from. Aside from comfort food like pizzas and burgers, New York also has a lot of Michelin-starred restaurants and others on a similar level you can choose from. And of course the never ending supply of street vendors, food trucks, and dive-bars serving supreme cuisine means you will always find something amazing to eat in NYC.
