Movies are magic. They can entertain you for hours, help you realize certain things, and light a fire under you. In this post, we’ll be taking a look at five motivational movies you need to see before you die.

The Pursuit of Happiness

The Pursuit of Happiness is a must-watch. It may be a story about a father and a son’s journey through the harshness of life, but it’s inspirational for everyone.

We’re shown that despite all the things we may go through in life, hard work eventually pays off. This is incredibly inspirational for families struggling to keep a roof on their table and food on their plate. The movie explores financial struggles while maintaining a warmth not many films have.

Forrest Gump

From the war-torn jungles of Vietnam to captaining a shrimp boat to running through the United States for more than three years, you’ll find yourself attached to one of the best movie characters ever, all while being highly inspired to take life head-on.

Schindler’s List

Schindler’s List is a harsher movie. It follows the story of Oskar Schindler, a German industrialist who saves thousands of Jews from the Holocaust by employing them in his factories.

From the horrors of the Holocaust to the horrible things the Jews had to face during the time and how cruel the war was, the movie never fails to highlight how we can still do good even when we are in the midst of madness.

Rocky

Rocky is one of the most inspirational movies for athletes, and there’s a good reason why. It shows the other side of an athlete’s life. How hard it is to train while struggling financially and maintaining relationships and to still come out on top.

Nothing beats that scene of Rocky running up the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps, and nothing beats the extremely motivational soundtrack that comes with this masterpiece.

The Shawshank Redemption

Shawshank Redemption tells an inspirational story while providing an insight into what happens inside prisons and to the people in them. It shows stories of struggle, pain, joy, hurt, and redemption in a way that leaves you loving life more than you had before you watched the movie.
